Shell and Kinder Morgan Aim to Export LNG from US

Shell US Gas & Power, a subsidiarity of Royal Dutch Shell along with Southern Liquefaction Company, a Kinder Morgan affiliate and a unit of El Paso Pipeline Partners have announced yesterday, that they are planning to develop a natural gas liquefaction plant at El Paso’s existing Elba Island LNG Terminal near Savannah, Georgia. EPB’s Elba Express Pipeline and Elba Island LNG Terminal are to be modified to physically transport natural gas to the terminal and to load the liquefied natural gas (LNG) onto ships for export. UK Government to Fund Energy Efficient Improvements for Private Homes

UK Government has announced today the start of its £125 million ($196 million) program, aimed at giving british homeowners an incentive to make some energy saving improvements. Under the terms of the Green Deal initiative, participants should be able to reduce their energy bills and even get some of the invested money back through a special “cashback” scheme. With buildings in Britain being among the least efficient in the world, the Green Deal is expected to save up to £270 ($423) per year (for a typical three bedroom house).
